Submission Guidelines

Read our EIC's interview with Six Questions For... here!

  • Prose formatting should be standard - Times New Roman, font size 12, double spaced, and indented

  • Poetry formatting is more flexible, but Times New Roman, font size 12 is preferred

  • Response time is approximately two weeks; if you do not receive a response after that, please feel free to send a follow-up email to mosspuppymag@gmail.com

  • Due to the potentially explicit content of our magazine, we ask that submitters be 18 years of age or older

  • Please do not submit work that encourages or promotes hate of any kind, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.

Simultaneous submissions are encouraged, but we do not accept previously published work at the moment. We ask for First North American serial rights, but all rights revert back to you upon publication. Please credit Moss Puppy Magazine as the first place your work has appeared if it is later published elsewhere.

If your work is not accepted, please wait until the following submission period to submit again unless specifically asked to do so. While we cannot pay contributors or provide contributor copies at this time, we hope that this will be an option in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
